How much to charge for graphic design work
I am doing some light graphics work for a small company, mainly consisting of scanning and some photoshop work using a logo they are providing. I have only had to go the complete designing on 1 of the 4 small projects. It has taken me about 3 hours to complete all of it. I don't have any professional design experience so I don't really know how much to ask for in return for my work. Any suggestions? Thanks!
Graphic Design Grad trying to turn publishing
As the title says, Im afraid! I graduated as a graphic designer last May, and floated about aimlessly for a while, not sure I wanted to trap myself forever in a graphics job.
Recently, I decided that I would really like to get my foot in the door in a publishing company. I have been writing for twice as long as I have been designing, so the change of heart isn't completely unrelated.
Unfortunately, most of the writing/editing positions appear to require degrees in English and/or experience. So I am not entirely sure where to start! Any advice would be appreciated!
